A common ingredient in the physical preparations of expeditions in polar regions is hauling tires in the forest. This is a very good simulation of the actual motion of hauling a sled. Workout with backpack

One of the pillars of physical preparations before the expedition consists of hikes in the forest carrying heavy backpacks. Terje purchased a few 5 liter water canisters to get started. 15 kg water and 5 kg backpack, food and equipment equals a good workout.
