To keep track of our progress across the ice sheet while we are underway we have decided to use aeronautical charts in the scale of 1:1000 000. The maps were ordered a month back and have been collecting dust on a shelf in my living room. To celebrate the extra hour granted us by the end of Daylight Saving Time I decided to prepare the maps just as I was getting ready for bed. I marked our planned route with a pencil and cut out the parts of the map we are actually using. Next up is to laminate it so it can withstand moisture and wear.
